Keith Richard, MCI Bio

Keith Richard is a Master Casting Instructor certified by Fly Fishers International and is one of less than 50 Masters in the world who has earned a level 2 status which qualifies him to test candidates for CI certification and the Master Casting Instructor certification.

He has served on the Casting Board of Governors and is also the owner of The Camp Fly Fishing School in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana. Keith travels throughout the US promoting fly fishing and has done numerous workshops at the International Fair over the past several years. He has authored articles that have been presented in The Loop.  

Presently he is working with AHERO promoting fly fishing for veterans and has produced a series of videos which are to be available for public use on their website for use by anyone wishing to learn how to fly fish and advanced casters alike.

"Keith Richard was awarded 2019 Jay Gammel Award for his lasting contributions to the teaching of fly casting instruction".  He was, also, the recipient of 2020's Mel Krieger award for his significant contributions to Fly Fishers International's Casting Instructor Certification Program while sharing his knowledge of fly casting. This is one of the FFI's highest awards awarded by their Board of Directors.
